Actually the ants are coming in for the pollen and necter and are one of the pollenators of strawberries. There is not fruit until the flowers are pollenated. Ants will eat a damaged, overripe or diseased strawberry but they are not interested in the green or white ones.When the strawberry flowers bloom, the ants are comin to eat the fruits.
